An Arkansas Adventure Session at the Buffalo National River

 

 

Brittney and Michael have been together for almost 8 years now and their love for one another is so apparent! It was such a joy to get to spend the day capturing their love and telling apart of their story. I have been friends with them for the majority of their relationship, but this was the first time we were able to coordinate getting together for photos. We ventured out to our favorite place, the Buffalo National River at Steel Creek Campground. This is a special place to all of us, as this is where we spend a lot of our lazy summer afternoons.

 

 

The Hidden Beauty of Arkansas

 

 

The Buffalo River is one of my top tier favorite places to photograph. It is near and dear to my heart as a local to the area. I love getting to bring couples to this area for the first time and seeing their face light up when they see the Roark bluff line. Surprisingly, a lot of locals to the area have never been to the Buffalo National River. How bizarre is that! There is a selfish part of me that wants to keep these things to myself, but the giving side of me wants everyone to experience the beauty of Arkansas.

 

 

Couples Session at Steel Creek Campground

 

 

Steel Creek Campground will always be a go-to location for my clients. You get so much variety with the tall painted bluffline, the beautiful flowing river, the tall grassy fields, the wooded forest. It truly is a GEM! It is the perfect location for so many reasons. In the summertime, you can cool off in the swimming hole. In the wintertime, take a hike from Steel Creek to Ponca. In the fall time, book a session with you favorite photographer (hey, how's it going?). 😋
