Fall Wedding in Harrison, Arkansas
Aubrey and Micah had a beautiful fall wedding at their parents farm in Harrison, AR. I first met this couple at another wedding I photographed in the summer of 2022. I had actually taken a ceramics course with Aubrey at our local community college prior to meeting them together at the summer wedding!
I really got to know these two during their engagement session. Their session is one of my absolute favorites to date. She wore a stunning, flowy, boho dress that we got to throw around in the golden sunset. It was incredible! I knew right then that we had the same taste and I was so excited to see what all she had planned for her wedding!
Because this was a fall wedding, sunlight was not on our side. The sunset really early so it put a time crunch on our wedding timeline. They decided to do a first look before the ceremony which allowed us plenty of time to get some photos in before it got dark.
A first look is a fantastic way to ease some of the wedding day jitters and get a moment alone with your partner. I honestly think it makes the first look even MORE special when you have a quiet moment, just the two of you, before all the festivities begin.
Intimate Arkansas Wedding in Harrison, AR
We also had a crazy downpour of rain during the wedding! Their family and friends pulled it together and moved the ceremony inside the family's greenhouse and it truly was SO magical. I'll never forget the sound of the rain on the roof while the entire room sparkled with warm candlelight. It was so beautiful.
For Aubrey and Micah's wedding, they got ready at separate locations. Aubrey got ready at the Last Mile Hideout cabin in Harrison, AR and Micah got ready at his parent's farm where the ceremony would be held. We were able to capture all of our photos inside the high tunnel during the wedding due to the crazy amounts of rain we got this day! It was raining so hard and the ground was so wet, it just didn't make sense to even go outside with the clear umbrellas for photos.
After dinner, the rain stopped long enough to shoot off some beautiful fireworks. It was a magical way to send off the new bride and groom! Enjoy some highlights from Aubrey and Micah's day!
