As an Arkansas wedding photographer, I get the chance to document so many beautiful love stories. I am honored to be invited in to document the big moments in your life. It's my job, no, my duty, to capture not just how it happened, but how it felt, too.

This lovely couples session took place in my hometown of Harrison, Arkansas. Beka + Tyler met me at sunset in one of my favorite locations to photograph at. Beka is a photographer herself, so she had this stunning white dress in her client closet that she wanted to photograph. I can totally see why! It is STUNNING and it complimented those summer Arkansas greens.

Photographing couples in Arkansas means that your busy season as a photographer entails that you will be working with a lot of bright, neon green grass and trees. I know that Trevor Hall wrote Green Mountain State about Hawaii, but I always think of Arkansas when I hear it.

Because of this, it is really important for clients to wear complimenting colors to their photography session. If Beka had shown up in a bright purple or red dress, the images wouldn't have turned out this soft and golden. As a photographer, you really have to consider your surroundings and guide your clients because YOU are the professional here.

These photos are some of my favorite ones to date. It was my first time taking our my Canon RF 28-70 2.0 lens and I was GIDDY with how much fun it was to shoot with such an incredibly powerful lens. I was mostly shooting on a nifty 50mm lens before and having this kind of sharpness and range literally brought tears to my eyes. LOL Sorry, I am an enneagram 4 and have a lot of emotions.
