As much as we try to plan for every detail, weather sometimes has its own agenda—especially in the summer. Just as their ceremony was about to begin, a storm rolled in. But one of the most beautiful things about an intimate wedding is the flexibility it offers.

With just a quick pivot, we stepped outside ahead of the storm and they shared a heartfelt, moody ceremony by the water, surrounded by the sounds of wind and waves.

Moments after their first kiss, the rain swept in, and we all ran inside—laughing, soaked, and completely in love with the moment. There, they popped champagne and shared sweet words with the people who mattered most. Before long, the rain cleared, leaving behind the softest golden light and a sky that felt like it had been painted just for them.

We took portraits right outside the Airbnb and near the ceremony site, capturing all the magic of that just-rained-on earth and the joy of a day that didn’t go according to plan—but turned out better than imagined.
