Arkansas Spring Engagement Session

A fun fact about Cam + Kate is that Kate NEVER expected to get married. She was completely comfortable and happy being her own independent person. That is until... she crossed paths with Cam. The way that these two talk about how they just knew that they were the one for each other will give you ALL the goosebumps. Truly. And their chemistry is unmatched.

When Cam + Kate reached out to me to photograph their wedding, I was actually dancing around my house. I have known Cam for a few years and I owe him all the credit for me getting into photography. Cam loaned me his Canon Rebel camera a few years ago when I casually mentioned how I was "kind of interested" in photography. Cam is an insanely talented, multifaceted artist and his a huge advocate for others to create.
His encouragement, kindness, and generosity is the reason I finally picked up a camera (Cam's Camera) and found my lifelong passion. I am forever grateful for it!
So, to be asked to photograph his wedding really feels like a beautiful, full circle kind of moment. There are those goosebumps again...

We got together in the spring to take their engagement photos and it felt like a scene from a movie. When I was scheming up ideas for their session, my mind kept going to the idea of a golden hour picnic. They both love the outdoors and the aesthetic just felt right for their story. When they showed up with their polaroid, cute little china dishes, a bird book, and a "snackle-box" I knew we were about to create some AMAZING photos that they will get to hang on to forever.
